Audrey Thao Berger is a New York City based choreographer, originally from San Francisco, CA. Her work is rooted in themes of interdependence, reciprocity, and community care. Audrey draws inspiration from the intricate ecosystems of nature, where adaptive, thriving networks foster survival and transformation. As a dreamer, her process is centered on imagining new ways of living and relating, bringing these visions to life through collaboration, movement, and creative exploration.
Audrey’s choreography has been featured at the United States of Asian America Festival, The Place Theater, Arts on Site, and the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. She has received the A4 What Can We Do? Micro-Grant, held fellowships at Motive Brooklyn and University Settlement, and is currently an Artist in Residence at University Settlement for 2024/2025. Audrey brings extensive administrative and production experience from her roles at Sleep No More, the Brooklyn Arts Exchange, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Audrey holds a BA in dance from the London Contemporary Dance School.
